Service Ministries

Acolytes - The acolytes enhance our worship service by serving as crucifers, torch, banner and flag bearers.

Altar Guild - The Altar Guild maintains the linen, silver, vestments, bread, wine and candles in order to beautify our worship services. The Guild arranges the flowers and linens on Sundays, Holy Days, Lent and other occasions such as weddings and funerals.

Choir
- St. Andrew's has an enthusiastic volunteer adult choir under the direction of the choirmaster/organist. The choir sings every Sunday, with special sacred music for Christmas and Easter. They are often accompanied on special occasions by flute, strings or brass.

Church School
- St. Andrew's Church School provides religious education from Preschool to High School. It is under the direction of a paid Director of Religious Education. Students are invited to participate in Eucharistic celebrations by singing for special celebrations and reading during the service.

Education Committee
- The mission of the Education Committee is to provide educational opportunities to the members of St. Andrew's family on their Christian journey toward fullness in life with God.

Evangelism Committee - The mission of the Evangelism Committee is to encourage and enable all our parishioners to share the Good News of the risen Christ with friends and strangers, inviting welcoming and engaging them in God's family. The Committee has established a team of Greeters for Sunday services, conducts programs for newcomers, has developed a parish website, and has outlined a system of signage to improve access to St. Andrew's.

Hospitality Committee - The mission of the Hospitality Committee is to bring a sense of community in and around the parish by action as overseers and coordinators of social and fundraising events to promote Christian Fellowship for everyone.

Investment Committee - The purpose of the Investment Committee is by authority of the Vestry to manage in a responsible Christian manner the Church's trust and endowment funds, and to assist members in the writing of Wills and Bequests to the church.

Marshall Scholarship Committee - The purpose of this Committee is to award annual scholarships to deserving parishioners who wish to pursue their education beyond secondary school. The fund was established in memory of Jeffrey T. Marshall.
Nursery School-St. Andrew's Nursery School is a non-denominational multi-cultured preschool whose goal is to provide stimulating, challenging, fun materials and activities in a friendly, learning environment.

Outreach (Maguire Fund) Committee - This committee helps us to reach out to the community by awarding grants to worthy organizations.

Pastoral Care Committee
- The mission of the Pastoral Care Committee is to continue the ministry of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, by coordinating laity and clergy efforts to serve the spiritual, emotional, mental and physical needs of His people. The committee conducts a program of regular lay visits to parishioners who are homebound or are confined to nursing facilities, oversees the Lay Eucharistic Ministers program and has conducted a workshop on visiting the elderly. The Committee also has established a "prayer chain".

Soup Kitchen
- The St. Andrew's Soup Kitchen Crew provides, in conjunction with other Community groups, hot meals to the less fortunate on a regular basis.

Stewardship Committee
- The mission of the Stewardship Committee is to encourage and enable us to share our time, talent and treasure with our St. Andrew's Family and the community.

Worship Lay Leaders
- Parishioners play important roles in worship at St. Andrew's. Our Worship Committee assists the Rector in planning special liturgical events and church season services. A large number of laypersons serve as lay readers, chalice administrators, lay Eucharistic ministers, ushers and greeters, giving special personal meaning to our worship.
